Selena Gomez, an actress and singer, is a household name internationally. One of the projects she's been a part of and which has the most success is the Disney series he Wizards of Waverly Place. Selena Marie Gomez is her full name. Born on the 22nd of July, 1992 at Grand Prairie Texas. Her parents include Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez. Her mother was only sixteen when Selena became a mother. The year 2009 was when she landed her first role in show business, playing Gianna when Barney and her Friends. So she was one of numerous children who played with Barney, the famous human-like pink dinosaur. Selena participated in a number of episodes from episodes 7 and 8 between 2001 and 2003. It's a great fact that Selena was not the only singer who worked in Barney as well as his Friends at this time; Demi Lovato also was part of the team that starred in the show. Selena Gomez had a few auditions for other series and films in the years following the show Barney and his Friends. She was not successful. In 2003 she was given a minor role in Mini Spies 3: (Spy Kids 3D: Game Over) and also in Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire as Julie. Also, in 2006 she played Emily Grace Garcia on the Brain Zapped television program. She played the role and composed a tune.
