Ina-Garten

Ina Garden is an American author of cookbooks who has been awarded Emmy Awards. She is the host of the longest-running Food Network show Barefoot Contessa. The series began in 2002. It is scheduled to air for another 27 seasons. Ina started her career as a writer with the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and other policy documents. Even though she found the job fascinating initially, in the end she lost her interest in it and leased a small, speciality food shop - Barefoot Contessa. They spent 18 years making the shop extremely popular before selling it and picking up the pen for her first novel. Many other books and newspaper articles were published. Later, her Food Network television show too was launched and quickly became very popular. Her range of items spans from the kitchen equipment, cooking and baking materials as well as storage containers. Ina is an untrained cook who has never attended an cooking class, or employed in a kitchen. Her name is ascribed to her straightforward approach to cooking and effortless take on entertainment. She is known for her easy recipes like Skillet of Roasted Lemon Chicken Macaroni and cheese with Beef Bourguignon and Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
